Buying A House Fact Or Opinion

by C
(North Carolina USA)

Question for Kate: I am contemplating buying a house. Is purchasing a 2 bedroom townhouse in North Carolina a smart idea? I was told that 2 bedrooms are very hard to sell.

Hi C,

When it comes to shopping for a house, perspective home purchasers are instantly inundated with opinions. Merely thinking about buying a house triggers the advice avalanche or so it seems!

But a home buyer needs dependable facts. Facts that can be relied on. Facts to base decisions on.

How can home buyers recognize the difference between opinion and fact? Consider the source of the advice.

I recommend finding a top rated real estate agent that lists and sells townhouses in your area. Interview several, looking for someone you feel comfortable with. Ask if you can call a few of their recent clients as references.

Then make a personal decision to take advice only from a professional because a really great real estate agent is the hero of transaction.

Besides your Realtor, here are the other members who will be assisting in your transaction. I like to think of them as your Dream Team!
