Buying A House In Tough Economic Times

by Lily
(Jacksonville, Florida USA)

I wouldn't let hard times deter me from buying a house. There will always be something in our circumstances that is less than ideal. If we wait for the perfect time to do something, that time will never come. I don't think we should ever let our lives be ruled by fear.

This is a home buyer's market and I would certainly take advantage of this opportunity if I didn't already own my home. There are lots of wonderful houses available in all price ranges.

Owning your own home is a tremendous asset, and the feelings of comfort, security and well-being that go along with that are something on which you can't put a price.

Working on my home and garden gives me a tremendous sense of well-being and accomplishment that I would have missed had I been to fearful to step out in faith.

Hi Lily,

I admire you for not allowing fear to rob you of buying a house.

Not only do I agree with what you say, it has been the philosophy of FHA home loans since the Great Depression that owning a home strengthens the fiber of America.

I'm sure other readers would enjoy hearing about the way your gardens have turned your house into a home. I hope you'll come back to contribute again in the future.

Best Wishes,
