Buying A House The American Dream

by Starr

Buying a house, your very own house, is the American Dream. Yes, the housing market is really in the toilet right now. But - you always need a place to live, no matter what the economy is like. So take advantage of a buyer's market and get yourself your very own piece of the American Dream: a homeplace all your own.

A downturn in the housing market is the time to buy, all the while keeping in mind that markets do cycle and there will be an upturn in the future, despite the bleak present.

If you currently own a home, then hang on until the tide changes. It's all about leveraging yourself with where you stand.

If you can't make a profit by selling your home right now, then dig in and stay put.

If you need a home while the market is depressed, then move heaven and earth to find a way to buy a house.

Either way, you'll be well-situated when the housing market surges again - which it always does.

Think big picture! The housing market, like everything else, runs in cycles of up and down. Be smart and use those cycles to your advantage.
