Little Did I Know That In 10 Minutes
My Entire Life Was About To Change

It was a gorgeous day, the first of spring, giving promise to the end of a wet, damp winter. I jumped in my car and set off to meet a client. Little did I know that in 10 minutes, my entire life was about to change.

A few years have passed now. I admit I still get choked up looking back on the accident. And I live with the physical effects of the injury every day.

If you've read Meet Kate, you know I was a successful mortgage broker, working my way up from Rookie of the Year to eventually owning my own mortgage company. I earned a lot of money and helped a lot of homeowners. I was happy, content, and fulfilled.

I certainly had no thoughts of retiring early.

After the accident though, I couldn't drive a car or sit for more than a few minutes and was in excruciating pain. I finally came to grips with the fact that I needed to close my mortgage company. I was no longer able to continue helping people the way I loved.

But I still wanted and needed to make money! This is about how my dreams came true.

My Husband's Discovery

My husband, Steve Ford, had been following a company, SBI, short for Site Build It, and its founder, Ken Evoy, a few years running. A Canadian M.D., Ken Evoy, had developed a simple and unique way to help people around the world make money using the internet, sharing with others what they loved and knew.

My nose, always buried in mortgage files, had prevented Steve and me from having a free moment to discuss SBI all those years. But after the accident, I suddenly had plenty of time to listen to my husband's discovery.

What Really Attracted Me

So, I began to examine SBI. The emphasis on using my knowledge, my passion and my interest to help others and at the same time earn money is what really attracted me to Site Build It.

By the way! I'm feeling better these days, thanks in part to owning an SBI website which allows me the freedom to work from the comfort of our home. Here I am, in the picture below, celebrating a wedding anniversary with my husband in Sedona, Arizona.

I can go on and on but there's no need. You already know what being free means to you.

For me, freedom means making money, using my knowledge of mortgage lending to continue helping people, from the comfort of my home office, even on the crummy days when I feel the lingering affects of the injury.
