  1. Does your state law allow a real estate broker to represent a spouse and get paid a commission?

  2. When the spouse of a broker is buying a home, does the real estate company's contract prohibit the payment of commissions?

  3. Will a mortgage company approve a home loan for transactions involving spouses, also known as non-arm's length transaction?

  4. In my opinion, disclosure is the most pertinent. Has the broker disclosed the spousal relationship to all parties on the purchase and sale agreement, whether or not it is required?
