Romance of Seattle

The reason I choose Seattle over any other area is the romantic air provided by the faithful misting rain. The constant moisture is dreary to some populations, but only in Seattle where the rains visit, does it make you fall in love with the area.

There are many other reasons to pine over this location including the mountainous terrain and the rivers and shores that decorate the land, but it is the cloudy mists that truly steal your heart away. I would live every moment in Seattle if I could!

Hi Kathy,

I have to agree with your description of the rain in Seattle. If I remember correctly, Seattle has less rain volume than new York City or Atlanta but many more days of rain. However the rain is usually soft mist resulting in the clean air so familiar to Seattle.

Hikes up Mount Rainier, strolls along Puget Sound after lunch at Salty's, ferry rides to Vashon Island, overnight getaways at Snoqualmie Lodge are a small part of the romance in and around Seattle.
