Seattle The Power to Transport

Why I say Seattle holds the power to transport... I was born and raised in England with the North Sea pretty much in my backyard. The U.S has been "home" for me since 1989, and I longed for a place that simulated England for me. I found that in Seattle.

Growing up in a seafront town, the air was always moist, and London (and most of England) has a reputation of raining all the time. So does Seattle. The vibrancy of Seattle's population, and all the drizzling, rainy, dreary days encourage the memories I have of England. Seattle is where I want to be when flying home to England is not an option.

Hi Amber,

I always suspected that visitors from England would feel at home in Seattle. Admittedly, there are many who feel the gray skies and constant drizzle to have a depressing effect on their mood. But natives of the Pacific Northwest know the mesmerizing beauty of the mist.

One plane ride over Seattle and I hopelessly fell in love with the Emerald City. I remember laughing, "This can't be a city. It is way too beautiful!"
