Site Build It! is about getting rich but there's no secret formula. Well, not exactly. There is a formula but the ingredients include desire and commitment to your dream.

Luck And Success

Kate and I have been very lucky in our life. Together we have been either self-employed or worked on commission-only for more than 30 years. We have owned several businesses over the years including our last venture, CFG Mortgage Services.

We were quite successful until my Kate had an accident that eventually resulted in us having to give up the business. Well, we are not the kind of people to play the victim even though it might seem completely justified.

After the accident we soon moved to be closer to our daughters. We began to publish articles via the internet that would help consumers translate the secret language of mortgage lending and real estate.

Since then we have authored more than 100 articles and built two information websites, Get-Your-Best-Mortgage-Rate.com and Prime-Real-Estate-Articles.com.

Backing Up In Time - What We Learned

Years ago starting out in lending, we had the mistaken belief if we got homeowners a great interest rate, our mortgage business would grow. Surely they would remember us the next time they needed financing.

Not quite. We were very proud of what we did for homeowners but proud doesn't pay the bills!

Eventually, we learned that to build a business, we needed to ask for business. That isn't always easy. But it taught us a good lesson. No matter what your occupation, you have competition. And if you aren't asking for business, someone else will be.

Desire - Commitment - Know How - Tools

Well, after Kate was injured and we needed to close the mortgage business, we turned to building websites. But to tell you the truth, we were all thumbs.

Sometimes you have to go through certain difficulties in order to recognize what has been right in front of you. You probably know what I mean, don't you? Anyway, I am not sure how all that attraction stuff works but I have had enough evidence in my life to know it does.

First we started out thinking if we provided unique, relevant and useful information showing people how to get the best mortgage rate, we would once again be successful. This time around by applying our desire and commitment to building informational websites.

But what good are websites if no one finds them? What good are websites if they don't make you money?

So just like before, we needed more than good intentions. We needed the tools to be found and the know-how to make money. Thanks to SBI! we got this and more.

Today, we bring the desire and commitment. Site Build It! supplies the know-how and tools.
