Sweet Home Chicago

I love Chicago. I was born there and lived seven miles outside of the city limits for many years. I don't live there anymore, but vacation there anytime I can. The city is beautiful. If you take a boat ride out onto Lake Michigan you can take in the entire Chicago skyline. It is a sight to behold.

Being home of the Sears tower and many other beautiful buildings, the skyline is the most impressive I've ever seen. If you go to the downtown area and look up to the sky you will see that many of the buildings have gargoyles on top to "protect against evil".

The food is the best in the world, I have yet to find anywhere else that can make a pizza like they do in Chicago.

There is Lincoln Park zoo on the lakefront, and several beaches where you can spend the day taking in the sun and playing in the lake.

The museums are some of the best in the world which include The Field Museum, Museum of Science and Industry and the Art Institute to name a few.

The Shedd Aquarium has many wonderful animals to see and is a great place to take the family.

Chicago has two great baseball teams and the ballparks where they play are fun to visit. GO CUBS!!!

The shopping on Michigan Ave. is endless and around Christmas you can go to the city and look at all the Christmas scenes in the store windows.

The history of Chicago is fascinating to say the least with many a story of ghosts and gangsters.

I could go on and on about Chicago, it is certainly a fun place to visit and everyone should go there at least once.
