Ask Kate: Timing Mortgage Rate Lock
I am asking about the timing of a mortgage rate lock because I am set to close in about two weeks on a new home. I was wondering if you think the new bill in question for homeowners on the brink of foreclosures will help or hinder mortgage interest rates?
Meaning, should I go ahead and lock in now, or wait until it is closer to my closing date to see if mortgage rates will fall further.
